Entries received from noon to 8pm on Monday of Fair Week.  Judging will be Tuesday of Fair Week at 10am.
Building is closed to the public during judging.

  • 39 leaves (3 bundles), one spread out upon the other and tied into bundles of 12 leaves each, the wrapper to be the 13th, and of the same quality as the other 12 leaves.
  • The leaves must not be ironed.
  • Each exhibitor shall enter only one sample of three bundles from his or her crop.
  • ALL PRIZE SAMPLES OF 2005 TOBACCO WILL BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE CALVERT COUNTY FAIR.
  • ALL CALVERT COUNTY ENTRIES WILL BE JUDGED COUNTYWIDE.

Section I - Honey and Beeswax
  • All honey and hive products must be the property of the exhibitor and must have been produced by him/her within the past 15 months.
  • All honey exhibited must have been gathered and ripened in a natural way by honeybees.
  • No exhibitor’s name or label will be allowed on any entry.
  • Competent judging will be provided. Judges may withhold prizes for insufficient merit.
  • Any exhibitor who wishes information as to how his/her entry was placed by the judge can receive this information by consulting with the chairman of the honey exhibits. A copy of the Standards for Honey Judging in Maryland will be available on request.
