Lord Calvert Contest - Introduction

 
 
The Lord Calvert Contest is open to the young men of Calvert County between the ages of 16 and 19.  Lord Calvert will represent Calvert County throughout the year at county and fair events.
 
If you would like to have the opportunity to become the next Lord Calvert, complete a Personal Information Form, have a member of your sponsoring organization sign the form and return it, along with your official school transcript to the specified address found in the Rules and Regulations section by midnight, September 6, 2007.
 
As a committee, our goal is to promote the youth of our county in a positive light along with pride in their contributions and events throughout this great county. To help us in our endeavor, we would like to ask your support. If you know someone who is eligible and would like to see him represent your business or organization, please pass this information along to him and encourage him to participate in this event. Your support through donations and helping to find contestants is always graciously appreciated.  Any donations may be sent to the address found in the Rules and Regulations section.
 
The selection of Lord Calvert will be determined through the areas of scholastic achievement, participation in school and community activities, public speaking ability and poise demonstrated to out of county judges during the events of the contest.
