PRE-FAIR EVENTS

 

Sunday, Sept. 27:

Miss Tranquility Pageant & Lord Calvert Contest – 2:30 pm

 

Monday, Sept. 28:

Entry Day (Including Baked Goods) Noon – 8 pm

 

Tuesday, Sept. 29:

Baked Goods Received (Adults Only) –  8:30 – 9:30 am

Judging Begins (Closed to Public) – 10 am

Poultry and Livestock Entries Received – Noon – 8 pm Must be pre-registered

 

AT THE FAIR EVENTS

 

Wednesday, Sept. 30:

Feed the Needy Night β€œSneak Preview” Night

Enter the Fair for $1.00 or a 14 oz. or Larger can of food

Ride all evening for Super Low Price of $10.00.  No coupon needed.

 

Fair Officially Opens – 4 pm

Official Opening Ceremony for 2009 Fair – 4:45 pm

Carnival Opens – β€œSneak Preview” Night –            5 pm          

Little Miss & Little Prince 1 Contest (Ages 4-     5 Yrs) – 6:30 pm 

All Contestants Must Be Pre-Registered

     Southern Barnyard Runners

     Kachunga & the Alligator

     Unlimited DJ Productions

Exhibit Buildings Close – 9 pm

 

Thursday, Oct. 1:

Senior Citizens & Handicapped Day – 9 am – 2 pm

Free Admission & Free Lunch for Seniors & Handicapped Persons.  Special Events Planned for 9 am – 2 pm

 

Fair Opens – 9 am

Calvert High School Chorus (Outdoor Stage)

     – 9:30 am

β€œElvis” Jim Godbold (Main Hall)- 10 am

Carnival Open for Seniors & Handicapped Persons – 10 – 12 Noon

Lunch for Senior & Handicapped Persons (Free) – 12 Noon

Bingo (Main Hall) – 1:30 pm

Youth under 18 Free Gate Admission Until 4 pm

Calvert County Public Schools Closed

Special Challenge for 2009 Youth Day 

     Attendees (Preschool – Age 18)

 

Let’s Provide a Mountain of Food to Feed the Hungry!  Bring a can of food & leave it at the entry gate 9 am – 4 pm

Monday, October 5:  Exhibit Removal Day

Removal of All Exhibits & Pick-Up of Awards.  Must Bring Pink Copy of Entry Form(s) to Pick Up Exhibits & Awards.  Awards will be paid at the Office on Monday after Picking up Entries – Noon to 8 pm.

 

Gate Admission – 12 and Up $5.00; 11 and Under – Free   NO PETS ALLOWED
