2009 Children’s Contests

Awards:          1st-$5.00        2nd-$4.00      3rd-$3.00       4th-$2.00

Contests are open to children 6 months to 8 years of age, as of September 01, 2009.  Prizes awarded in each class for all contests.  Judging will be based upon appearance, personality, and apparent health of the child.  All judges will live and work outside of Calvert County.  No Talent, Please!  Contestants limited to Calvert County resident.  Parents/Guardians should be prepared to prove residency in Calvert County at the time of registration.

            All contests will be held in the main building.  Doors will open 15 minutes prior to the first contest for check-in purposes.  The hall will remained closed to allow for final preparations until that time.  There will be no public restrooms available in the main hall for changing purposes.  The first contest will start promptly.  Following contest times may be shifted slightly due to contestant numbers. 

IN PERSON REGISTRATION ONLY!  Registration will be held Monday, September 28, 2009 in the main building at the Calvert County Fair Board from Noon to 7:30pm.  By registering for the Calvert County Fair Children’s Contests, you are granting permission to the Calvert County Fair Board to photograph your child during the contest.  These photographs may be printed in the Fair Book or used on the Calvert County Fair Website.  At the time of registration, parents/guardians must provide the following:

·        Date of Birth

·        Home Telephone Number

·        Street & Mailing Address

·        Parent/Guardian Names
